The Organizing Committee of the ECPLF 2024  is proud to announce that authors of papers presented at this conference and within the scope of the Scopus indexed Biosystems Engineering journal, may be invited to submit a technically extended version paper to the Special Issue “Modern numerical approaches and technology applications for monitoring and managing livestock health, welfare and production” having as guest editors Marco Bovo (University of Bologna) and Emanuela Dalla Costa (University of Milan).

Biosystems Engineering publishes research in engineering and the physical sciences that represent advances in understanding or modelling of the performance of biological systems for sustainable developments in land use and the environment, agriculture and amenity, bioproduction processes and the food chain. The subject matter of the journal reflects the wide range and interdisciplinary nature of research in engineering for biological systems.

The technically extended papers should fulfil the following requirements: the paper should be significantly different from the Conference Paper, with greater scientific depth and content, in order to meet all the standards required by the Biosystems Engineering journal. The Title and the Abstract must be different from those of the conference paper, so that they can be differentiated and independently indexed in the various databases.
